hey guys
If anyone has played treasure mania 1 the lighttech interactive game, I get the following error when attempting to run the game in windows 7 after installation
Runtime error: active X component can't create object. I've tryed everything, from giving the program administrative rites, even changing the active x settings in Internet explorer, but the error still comes up. Here's the really strange part. I have another computer running windows 7 and the game runs fine. Any help would be appreciated
I personally don't know your fix, but here are some suggestions on how to fix it.
Go to Microsoft.com and under Windows 7 and trouble shooting, or just any search box you find on that page type in your arror message.
Do not search for it on Google, or other places, because you want Microsoft's answer not others.
Microsoft sometimes has fix it programs that will fix your issue.
Run your trouble shooter in Windows as well. That will be under the action Center.
Look in the action center and see if you have any issues as well.
If you want more help say and I'll do some research for you and post what I find, but I've given you the method.

Oops, I didn't delete that blunder at the end. It is a mistake.
another strange thing with this game, the readme file for the game says you can press page down to go into the water to go untangle your hook. For some reason the page down key does nothing. When i do the page down key on my laptop, the character just goes underwater as he should. Why would a game keystroke work on one computer and not another. Obviously, i dont have jaws running so there's no conflict. It's not fun having to restart the game when your doing so well, all because a fish tangled your hook, haha. I've had this strange thing with the game for a while now, but just been dealing with it by restarting the game, but i want to know what would be causing that
